Ginanggang

ginanggang

Who doesn’t like grilling bananas, covering them with butter, and then rolling them in sugar? Lami gyud ni part (this is really good, friend!)

Ginanggang in Bisaya means grilled or broil 1, and it has become synonymous with this grilled delicacy found in many places from Mindanao to Cebu. And it’s so good that some towns dedicate a festival around it. The town of Tubod in Lanao del Norte celebrates the Ginanggang Festival 2 every year on May 2. It also celebrates the banana in general in its Sagingan Festival every October! 3
